What is Remedeine Forte?
Remedeine Forte is an analgesic painkiller that is a branded type of Co-Dydramol. It provides relief for mild to severe pain. It is made up of paracetamol and dihydrocodeine. Remedeine Forte contains 30mg of Dihydrocodeine and 500 mg of paracetamol. Paracetamol is a well known pain killer.
What is Remedeine Forte Used For?
Remedeine forte is used as a painkiller when paracetamol alone doesn’t seem to do the trick. It is used for conditions such as:
- Dental pain
- Muscle pain
- Nerve pain
- pain from flu
- Rheumatic pain
How To Use Remedeine Forte?
You can take Remedeine forte with or without meals. The tablets should be swallowed whole and not chewed. It should also be taken for just short periods of time to stop the risk of developing tolerance. dihydrocodeine found in remedeine is addictive hence it’s not advised to take this drug for long periods of time. Also, continue use will lead one to develop tolerance to the drug, making it no more effective. t must, therefore, be used in the lowest dose possible and in a short span of time only.
Remedeine Forte dosage
Remedine Forte comes with 500 mg of Paracetamol and 30 mg of Dihydrocodeine in one tablet. It is also available in 20/500 mg strength which has 500 mg Paracetamol and 20 mg Dihydrocodeine. The strength and dosage must be made by a medical doctor. Unless otherwise stated, the dosage and strength of the medication for adults and children 12 years and up must be 1-2 tablets taken every 4-6 hours. Never attempt to take more than 8 Remedine Forte a day.
Remedeine Forte is not to be used by patients below 12 years old. Stick to the doctor’s prescribed dosage and read over the product leaflet before using Remedine Forte.
